Ballpark Village is a mixed-use retail, entertainment, office and residential district that spans seven blocks in downtown St. Louis.
The newly opened Together Credit Union Plaza comprises nearly 40,000 square feet of outdoor public gathering space framed by Busch Stadium, OneLife Fitness, Sports & Social St. Louis, Live! by Loews – St. Louis, and Phase 1 dining and entertainment venues along Clark Street.
The Together Credit Union Plaza currently features tabled seating for more than 300 guests and a state-of-the-art LED screen for guests

UK FCU Acquires Naming Rights to Esports Lounge and Theater
University of Kentucky Federal Credit Union (Lexington, KY) and JMI Sports, the University of Kentucky’s multimedia rights partner, have announced a naming rights partnership with the university for the esports complex in The Cornerstone, a new multiuse facility under construction on campus.
The lounge and theater will be called The UK Federal Credit Union Esports Lounge and Theater.
The naming rights deal will include both interior and exterior signage. UKFCU will also sponsor a feature night throughout the academic year, a speaker series and an esports conference as part of their partnership with UK and JMI Sports.
The naming rights deal is for 13 years. The price tag of the naming rights deal was not disclosed.

Event Center Named After American 1 CU Opens on February 28
American 1 Credit Union Event Center at Keeley Park opened on Friday, February 28.
The new 30,000 square foot American 1 Credit Union Event Center is a multi-use facility that can seat as many as 800 guests.
American 1 Credit Union (Jackson, MI) provided $4 million for the $6.4 million event center.

Rio Grande CU Buys Naming Rights to Isotopes Park
Rio Grande Credit Union (Albuquerque, NM) has bought the naming rights to Isotopes Park.
The ballpark will now be called Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park.
The naming rights agreement is for 10-years.
Rio Grande also became the club’s official credit union, debit card and credit card partner.
The price tag of the naming rights deal was not disclosed.
Isotopes Park is the home field of the Albuquerque Isotopes of the Pacific Coast League, the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.

Retiring Illinois Bankers Exec Says Brazen CU Behavior Is Getting Noticed by Lawmakers
In an article appearing in BankBeat, Linda Koch, who will retire this summer as the president and CEO of the Illinois Bankers Association, had some interesting comments about credit unions and taxation.
Koch noted that the behavior of large credit unions has become more brazen with the acquisition of community banks and purchasing the naming rights to sports and entertainment venues.
She commented that these actions are getting the attention of lawmakers.
She believes that these actions by the credit union industry will ultimately force Congress and state legislatures to do the right thing and tax credit unions.

Affinity Plus Credit Union (Saint Paul, MN) on February 5 bought the naming rights to a new concert venue in Minneapolis.
As part of the seven-year sponsorship agreement, the venue’s official name will change to “The Fillmore Presented by Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union.”
The $2.4 billion credit union’s name will also be stamped on everything from tickets to social media posts.
The credit union will have several ATMs at the venue.

Day Air CU Buys Naming Rights to Minor League Ballpark
The Dayton Dragons on January 29 announced a new naming rights agreement with Day Air Credit Union, re-branding the stadium as Day Air Ballpark.
The naming rights deal is for 10-years. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Centricity CU Donates $1 Million for Artificial Turf, Receives Naming Rights to Stadium
The Duluth News Tribune is reporting that Hermantown Community Schools has received a $1 million donation from Centricity Credit Union (Hermantown, MN), which will help pay for converting the football field to artificial turf at Hermantown High School.
Hermantown superintendent Kerry Juntunen said that in exchange for the donation, the stadium will carry the Centricity name for 15 years.

Arizona Federal Credit Union has entered into an agreement with Live Nation to buy the naming rights to the former Comerica Theatre in Phoenix.

Idaho Central Credit Union (Chubbuck, ID) has bought the naming rights to a plaza at ski resort.
The plaza outside of Bogus Basin’s JR Simplot Lodge will now be called Idaho Central Credit Union Plaza.
The 17,000 square foot plaza features a seating area, fireplaces, landscaping, and the Double R Ranch BBQ Smokehouse.

University CU Receives Naming Rights to College Athletic Pavilion
Saint Mary's College will rename its sports pavilion after University Credit Union (Los Angeles, CA), as part of the partnership agreement.
The rebranded 3,500 seat pavilion, which is the home to the Saint Mary's men's basketball, women's basketball and volleyball teams, will be called University Credit Union Pavilion.
The agreement also includes sponsorship opportunities with the Athletic Department.
In addition, University Credit Union will provide multiple ATM locations throughout the campus, a future branch on campus and additional funding to the existing food pantry as well. An affinity alumni debit/credit card program will exist with benefits and incentives.

GreenState CU Buys Naming Rights to Fieldhouse
GreenState Credit Union (North Liberty, IA) bought the naming rights to the fieldhouse attached to Xtream Arena (Coralville, IA), according to The Gazette.
The credit union, formerly University of Iowa Community Credit Union, will pay $1.4 million over 10 years for the naming rights.

Allegacy Federal Credit Union (Winston-Salem, NC) purchased the naming rights to a Center at Wake Forest University.

Kitsap CU Buys Naming Rights to High School Outdoor Athletic Complex
Central Kitsap School District entered into a naming rights agreement with Kitsap Credit Union (Bremerton, WA) for the new high school outdoor athletic facilities.
The credit union paid $500,000 for the naming rights of the outdoor athletic complex.
The agreement includes naming rights and advertising space in the athletic facilities for six years.
The outdoor athletic facilities includes football field and track, baseball field, softball field, and tennis courts on the Central Kitsap High School campus.

First Community Credit Union (Chesterfield, MO) has acquired the naming rights for the arena within Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Vadalabene Center for $2.3 million over the next 10 years.

San José State University and Provident Credit Union (Redwood City, CA) entered into an $8.1 million, 20-year partnership agreement to rename The Event Center at San José State University to Provident Credit Union Event Center.
The Event Center seats 5,000 and is the home of Spartans basketball.
The agreement includes signage at the facility and on nearby roadways; the opportunity to sponsor or participate in university events; and the opportunity to provide the campus with financial literacy awareness clinics.
The California State University Board of Trustees approved the venue renaming and broader agreement at its July 24 meeting.
The CEO of Provident Credit Union is an alumnus of San José State University.

SAFE CU Pays $23 Million for Naming Rights to Convention and Performing Arts District
SAFE Credit Union (Folsom, CA) and the city of Sacramento announced that the credit union will pay $23 million for the naming rights to the convention center, performing arts center, and outdoor plaza in Sacramento, California.
The naming rights agreement is for 25 years.
The entire complex will be known as the SAFE Credit Union Convention and Performing Arts District. The Convention Center will be called the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center.
