Eastman Credit Union


Eastman Credit Union is a state-chartered credit union headquartered in Kingsport, Tennessee. At the end of 2013, the credit union reported assets of $2.8 Billion and net income of $32.3 Million.

However, the credit union reported paying ZERO corporate income taxes.

  1. Wells Fargo & Co., Goldman Sachs Group, PNC Financial Services Group, Capital One Financial Inc. and State Street Corp. were among 78 of America’s largest and most profitable corporations that managed to avoid paying income tax in at least one year from 2008 to 2011.

  4. I wonder how many more modest means loans many credit unions could've made with more modest headquarters!
