CU Members Reject Rare CU- Bank Merger Plan
The members of KV Federal Credit Union have rejected plans to merge with a local bank.
Officials at KV Federal Credit Union and Kennebec Savings Bank confirmed Thursday that credit union members voted against the proposal to convert their credit union to a bank and merge with Kennebec Savings.

On your September 3rd post, you asked, "What Do Credit Union Members Really Own?" Well Keith, I guess you answered your own question with this post. Credit union members own their credit union. When is the last time bank customers have had the opportunity to vote down a bank merger?
