Federal Reserve Discount Window Borrowings by CUs, Q1 2013

The Federal Reserve recently released first quarter 2013 data on credit union and bank borrowings from the Federal Reserve's discount window.

The following tables look at individual transactions by credit unions during the first quarter.

  1. Not sure what value this chart has. NCUA is requiring CU's to prove emergency liquidity sources, the Fed Window obviously being a standard resource. We had to borrow $1,000 for 1 day to prove our access to the Window works, so I would not be surprised to see this list expand in the coming months.

    1. Obviously the low amounts are tests - don't feel special because your CU is listed. Look back at the Federal Reserve tag and maybe you will understand why this data is interesting them.
